Chapter 21

This chapter was about, World WarI, the civil war, the great depression, and the rise of nazi germany and the holocust.
world war l  was considerd the great war. it lasted more than four years and was defeated by the german. during this war alot of lives were scarficed. and the russian,german  and austrian empires collapsed but poland, czechoslovakia and yugolavia became independent. when soilders came home from the war they were to go back to their  normal lifes but for many that wasnt an easy thing to do. world war l cause a temporary resting period for the women suffrage but women got the opprotunity to go to work in the factories and they slowy gainedd voting rights .after the great war , germany and the united states expierenced  a period of economic downfail which was the great depression. at this time alot of people lost their jobs and life savings. banks closed down , the stock market crashed and people were committing suicde.  alot was done to fix the goverment during the great depression such as roosevelts new deal, but  that did not help the united states much.
